Mommy Makeover Tampa Bay

Has pregnancy and breastfeeding changed your body? Well, Mommy Makeover Tampa Bay is a term that refers to surgery women undergo after pregnancy.  At the present time, surgery of the breast, stomach, butt, and legs are the most requested for new moms. With that said, the goal is to create a youthful and tightened body contour. Like the body you had pre-pregnancy.

First, breast augmentation or breast lift surgery aims to achieve the following:

  1. Restore or add volume
  2. Increase fullness or cup size
  3. Get rid of sagging or deflated breasts
  4. Lift or reshape your areola or nipple
  5. Add symmetry to your breasts

Second, tummy tuck surgery or abdominoplasty will give you the following:

  1. Slimmer and tighter stomach
  2. Restore an “hourglass" silhouette
  3. Get rid of sagging or flabby skin that won’t go away
  4. Repair torn muscles during childbirth
  5. Fit into the clothes you want to wear

Third, these are two of the most requested and combined surgeries. Both breast and body surgery help to give patients the best mommy makeover Tampa! Again, Dr. Brown has years of experience helping women get their pre-pregnancy shape back. Please take a look at ther results of tummy tuck and breast lift and augmentation. Ideal Candidates

The following have a significant impact on the appearance of your body:

  • Aging
  • Pregnancy
  • Childbirth
  • Genetics

Did you know these factors result in your stomach muscles getting stretched out? They also leave your midsection weak and flabby. Further, breastfeeding changes your breast tissue. As a result, it leads to your breasts looking deflated and sagging. In other words, your breasts end up in a lower position than you would like them. Breast ptosis is the technical name for sagging breasts. In fact, there are varying degrees of breast ptosis.

Dr. Brown will determine the degree to which your breasts are sagging. The word Ptosis means to droop or sag. Further, he uses the following scale to make this assessment:

  • Grade 1 (mild ptosis)
  • Grade 2 (mild to moderate)
  • Grade 3 (severe ptosis)
  • Pseudo-Ptosis
  • Mild Ptosis, Asymmetry
  • Low Breasts

Becoming a mother can come with frustrating changes to one’s figure. In spite of all the joys of being a mom! Most women get back to a healthy lifestyle through diet and exercise, but can’t seem to get their body back. Do you want to restore your youthful shape and figure? If you do, the mommy makeover Tampa Bay surgery might be right for you. Remember, ideal candidates for this procedure must be in good general health.

Mommy Makeover Tampa Bay Surgery

Every patient has unique concerns. Thus, all their treatment options will be custom tailored to them. Some women may enjoy the results of a breast lift (Mastopexy). While others may get the best result from a breast augmentation with an implant. Finally, some women may enjoy a combined breast lift with implants to restore volume. Also, this lift repositions the nipple and the breast to the right position. Likewise, a full tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) is appropriate for some patients. While others may need a mini-tummy tuck and/or liposuction.

For many women, it is a difficult decision to make when considering this surgery. Dr. Brown will take the time to listen to you and give you honest feedback and recommendations. As a result, he focuses on safety first when achieving your goals.

Options

A mommy makeover is specific to each individual woman. After assessing your goals and needs Dr. Brown will present a custom surgical plan. This includes a combination of some of the procedures below:

Your Recovery

A Mommy Makeover Tampa Bay surgery covers a large area of the body. Since this is the case, some women stay overnight at a recovery facility. You will receive general anesthesia with this surgery. For this reason, the surgery may take up to 4 hours or longer to complete. Most women find the recovery to be a slow process. Patients will begin to feel better about two weeks after surgery. Dr. Brown recommends that patients take it slow during the initial recovery phase.

The complexity of the surgery is a major factor with recovery. In some cases, it could take between 6 months to a full year for the final results to appear. As a result, most patients can go back to a normal routine at an average of 3 weeks. Dr. Brown discourages rigorous exercise until at least 6-8 weeks after surgery.

FAQ

How safe is it?

This particular surgery is an invasive procedure. Due to the combined nature of the surgeries, it is even more so. Anytime a combination surgery takes place, the risks increase. For this reason, it is important to find a surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Brown has the training and skill to perform many procedures in one setting. Surgical risks, reduce under the hands of an experienced surgeon. As well as complications being rare. These are excellent reasons to choose a qualified plastic surgeon.

How long after having my last baby should I wait to have a mommy makeover?

Dr. Brown recommends that you wait at least a year from a medical standpoint. With that said, most women wait longer than this to have surgery. It is usually easier for the patient to wait until the youngest child is self-sufficient. For example, not having to carry your child around would be ideal for recovery. Between the actual child and that bag with the “baby stuff,” being a mother is a very physical job.

This is particularly true in the first few years of the baby/toddler’s life. These reasons would make the recovery period more difficult for most people. At the end of the day, it’s a personal decision for each patient. We encourage patients to do as much as they can with diet and exercise. When they get to a point where they can’t see any more results, it’s usually a good sign that it may be time for surgery.
