Fat Transfer Breast Augmentation
Some women are unhappy with the volume of their breasts and would like to be fuller and perkier, but are completely averse to the notion of having implants. Transferring fat from one area of your body to your breasts can be a safe and effective way of increasing the volume of the breast while avoiding the use of a breast implant. At TA&PS, we implement cutting edge techniques with fat grafting in order to maximize safety while achieving beautiful and natural appearing results. The Fat Transfer Procedure
First, areas of the body will be assessed to determine whether or not the patient is a candidate for this type of breast enhancement. Depending on the volume of fat necessary, several areas may be selected for fat removal. During the procedure, fat is removed from other areas of the body by way of liposuction. The fat is then processed in a closed, sterile system to ensure that the fat cells are never exposed to air, which increases their quality and likelihood of “take” after injection. Dr. Brown implements the latest technology in processing this fat, and selects only the best fat for injection. The purified fat is then injected into the breasts through tiny, well-hidden incisions. Small portions of fat are injected with each pass of the injection cannula, to ensure even placement and a proportionate increase in volume.

Is Everyone A Candidate?
Not everyone is a candidate for natural breast augmentation with fat transfer. Some patients just don’t have enough fat on other areas of their body to achieve a significant amount of change in their breast volume or shape. In contrast, these patients may benefit more from the use of a breast augmentation with implant to achieve their goals.
Are The Results Permanent?
The results from fat transfer are permanent. Once the fat cells are healed in their new position, they will gain and lose weight the same way they did before they were transferred. This is why it is important to be at a stable weight prior to surgery, as significant weight gain or loss will affect the final results.
Where Is The Fat Taken From?
Typically, the fat is removed from unwanted areas. These areas may be the abdomen, inner thighs, outer thighs, flank region, upper arms, or back. Liposuction performed in these areas will typically improve their respective contours as well, which creates an overall improvement in the shape and contour of the body.
